Akai

Akai was founded in Tokyo a whopping 87 years ago, and although the company has changed hands a number of times throughout the years, they've had no problem keeping up with the times. When the company initially entered into the musical instrument industry, they were producers of reel-to-reel tape recorders, tuners, cassette decks, mics, and more. But where Akai shines today falls in the digital realm: with the release of their long-standing MPC, or music production center, series and MIDI controllers, like the MPK series or the MAX25 and MAX49, Akai has solidified itself as a force to be reckoned with for producers, DJs, and musicians in general.
