Japan’s Roland Corporation has been manufacturing electronic instruments since the early 1970s with the classic AF100 Bee Baa fuzzbox as one of the first products. They built the first touch-sensitive electronic piano, the first dedicated MIDI controller keyboard, and classic synthesizers like the Juno and Jupiter. Building on the success of early drum machines, V-drums were launched in the late '90s. Roland also markets the Edirol brand and Boss pedals which rank as some of the most popular pedals in the world.
